We, the Joyful Family of God, united in our Catholic Faith, seek to model our patroness, Our Lady of Consolation, by bringing love and comfort to all, teaching God’s Children in His ways by word and sacrament, and keeping the vibrant love of Jesus present in our world
About Us
As you browse our website, perhaps the first thing that will occur to you is what makes us so unique — we are a movable feast. With three distinct worship sites, our parish encompasses roughly 350 square miles:
- From Honeybrook in the North,
- To Oxford and Unionville to the South,
- From Coatesville to the East, and
- Paradise and Strasburg to the West.
We are home to a diverse and vibrant community of people who, united in the Catholic Faith, seek to keep the vibrant love of Jesus present in our world.
Our Churches, Masses & Hours
Our home church is Our Lady of Consolation in the Borough of Parkesburg. We worship there at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday evening; at 8:00 A.M. and 6:30 P.M. (Spanish-speaking Mass) on Sunday; and Monday through Friday at 8:30 A.M. Confession is held at 4:00 PM every Saturday.
We like to think of St. Malachi as our Mother Church, because it was really through her, established in 1838, that all the Catholic Churches, west of West Chester and east of the Susquehanna River, were born. St. Malachi’s is located on St. Malachy Road, surrounded by Runnemede Farm in bucolic Londonderry Township. We worship at St. Malachi every Sunday at 9:30 A.M.
Finally, The Rev. George P. Schneider Parish Center, named for our beloved former Pastor, is where so much of the work of our parish takes place. It is home to our Early Learning Center, all of our adult and youth religious education programs, and the social life of our Church Family. It too serves as our worship site at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday mornings from September through May. The Parish Center is located in West Sadsbury Township, just west of Parkesburg.
