Honoring OLC's High School Graduates

Congratulations to all graduating high school seniors! Many blessings in all your future endeavors from Our Lady of Consolation Church faith community. This year's seniors of honor are:

Jared Hodorovich is the son of Darren and Sandy Hodorovich. He graduated from Octorara High School and will attend the University of Pittsburgh to major in Psychology with hopes of becoming a therapist or counselor. Jared is a member of LifeTeen and has attended multiple Mission Trips throughout high school. He has served as a VBS volunteer and has helped with many Spaghetti Dinners and Lenten Fish Frys over the years.

Alexis Michalski is the daughter of Nick and Wendy Michalski. She will be graduating from Coatesville High School and will attend Penn State University to study Materials Science and hopes to pursue a graduate degree in the field and secure a job working with glass, ceramics or semiconductors. Alexis has been a member of LifeTeen and attended the Cumberland, MD Mission Trip. She serves as an Altar Server and as a Little Blessings and Children’s Church helper.

Kyle McCaw is the son of Cameron and Charlene McCaw. He graduated from Octorara High School and will attend Saint Francis University to major in General Engineering and will also continue his Football career. Kyle is a member of LifeTeen and attended the Dover, DE Mission Trip. He serves as an Altar Server and has helped with many parish events such as the Craft Fair, Spaghetti Dinner, and Lenten Fish Frys over the years.

Liz Bicking is the daughter of Judd and Julie Bicking. She graduated from Octorara High School and will attend West Chester University to major in Graphic & Interactive Design with hopes to pursue a career in Art & Graphic Design. She is a longtime member of the parish and attends 8:00 AM Mass with her family.

Nicholas Ammon is the Son of Deanna Ammon. He graduated from Pequea Valley High School and will be attending Rider University to get his BFA in Musical Theatre and study Vocal Performance with hopes to appear on Broadway one day. Nick has served as an Altar Server and PREP Aide. He has helped over the years with Thanksgiving Food Packaging, Craft Fair, Operating One Child and Operation Christmas Child.

Daniel Keane is the son of Daniel and Colette Keane. He graduated from Octorara High School. Daniel has served as an Altar Server at St. Malachi.

Justin Pimley is the son of Stephen and Monica Pimley. Justin served as an usher at the 11:15 AM Mass.

YOUNG-AT-HEART SUMMER SENIOR LUNCHEON

Join us for pizza & salad at June's summer luncheon! Please bring a tasty dessert to share and invite a neighbor or friend. Donations are always appreciated.

Mark Your Calendar for Vacation Bible School in July!

Each summer, OLC holds a vacation bible school for children. It's a great way to learn about how much God loves them, while providing an opportunity to have fun.
At OLC-VBS, kids explore God’s goodness and celebrate a fierce faith that powers them through this beautiful life. Thursday evening there will be a special program where we ask parents to come back early to enjoy our GRAND FINALE!

This year's theme is: Scuba-diving into friendship with God
DATES: Sunday, July 21 - 25 (Sunday - Thursday)
TIME: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
PLACE: Schneider Parish Center, 2995 Cemetery Rd, Parkesburg, PA
AGES: From preschool age to those who have completed 5th grade
COST: Free!
Registration will begin in June.

HELP WANTED!!!
Currently, we nee adults to lead in crafts and games, and teens who are great with kids to help with VBS this summer. (Must be finishing 6th grade to help)

July 20: Knights Blood Drive

Save the date: The Knights of Columbus will host a community blood drive on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM at the Schneider Parish Center.
Details are forthcoming.

Pray the Rosary

All adults and children are invited to join in praying the Rosary for Peace and Unity in our families, communities, country and in the world Monday evenings at 7:00 PM. All are welcome to join us next Monday.

We meet outside by the Blessed Mother Grotto next to Our Lady of Consolation church and pray the Joyful Mysteries as traditionally said on Mondays. Each week someone will lead the group in prayer. Bring your family and friends. There is strength in numbers.

Congratulations to our children who received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Please pray for our second grade PREP class children and their families, and for those who prepared them on their journey.
