2026 Lenten ScheduleThe Holy season of Lent begins Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026, with Masses at 8:30 AM and 7:00 PM (OLC) and a Prayer Service (not a Mass, but with Ashes) at 12:00 Noon (OLC).
During Lent, the faithful are encouraged to attend Mass and receive Communion daily, frequently celebrate the Sacrament of Penance, undertake acts of charity (particularly for the poor), participate in Parish Lenten Programs, and devote time to prayer. For example, give to Operation Rice Bowl, the Poor Box, and PCCO; participate in CAFÉ, Adoration, or Stations; or make time for personal prayer and spiritual reading of the Bible and the writings of the saints, etc. Fast & Abstinence (USCCB Norms) Fasting: Ages 18–59 1/2 on Ash Wednesday & Good Friday (one full meal; lighter meals permitted) Abstinence: Ages 14+ on Ash Wednesday, all Fridays of Lent & Good Friday Confessions Saturdays: 3:30 – 4:30 PM & Fridays: 5:45 – 6:45 PM (OLC) Monday, March 3,0, 2026, at 6:30 PM (with visiting priests-OLC) Lenten Devotions Adoration: Fridays, 5:00 – 7:00 PM (OLC) Stations of the Cross & Benediction: Fridays at 7:00 PM (OLC) Annual Lenten Fish Fry Friday, March 1,3, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 PM (SPC) CAFÉ: You're Invited!Beginning Thursday, February 5, 2026, the Catholic Adult Faith Enrichment (CAFÉ) team invites you to a seven-week video series, “The Mysteries of the Rosary: The Sorrowful Mysteries.” Filmed in the Holy Land, the videos are hosted by Mark Hartfiel, who shares insights from a wide range of contributors.
Classes will meet on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the conference room at the SPC. A Zoom option will be provided for those who prefer to participate remotely. Pope John Paul II Travel ChoirPlease welcome Pope John Paul II Travel Choir on Sunday, February 22. 2026 at the 11:15 AM Mass at the Schneider Parish Center.
